Kym Buttschardt
Roosters
Kym Buttschardt is the co-owner and operator of six successful independent restaurants and pubs in Ogden, Layton, and the Salt Lake City International Airport, which she runs with her husband and partner, Peter. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Utah and previously worked in both public and private accounting.
Kym has been deeply involved in the growth of business, tourism, and community initiatives across Weber, Davis, and Salt Lake Counties. She currently serves on the boards of Red Butte Garden, Ogden Regional Medical Center, the Davis Tourism Tax Advisory Board, Visit Ogden, and the Finance and Audit Committee for the Olympic Winter Games Salt Lake City–Utah 2034. She also recently completed 14 years of service with the Utah Office of Tourism and Weber Basin Water Conservancy District.
A proud mother of three sons and an avid skier, hiker, and cyclist, Kym is passionate about connecting people to the unique experiences, lifestyle, and community that make Utah special.
Katy Higgins

Katy Higgins is the Founder and Owner of True Pros Heating & Air, an award-winning HVAC company based in Utah. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Katy has built a reputation for leading with transparency, integrity, and customer-first values. After starting her career as one of the first female comfort advisors in her region, she went on to break barriers and inspire other women in the trades. In 2025, True Pros received Best of State Utah, City Weekly’s Best of Utah, Standard-Examiner’s Best of Northern Utah, and Davis Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year awards, and Katy was recognized among the 100 Companies Championing Women.
Beyond business success, Katy is deeply committed to mentorship and community, partnering with Make-A-Wish Utah and sharing her journey on national industry podcasts. Passionate about honesty, teamwork, and innovation, Katy continues to set the standard for what it means to lead in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Trish Thomason
Social Buzzerfly
Trish Thomason is the owner of Social Buzzerfly, a social media marketing business based in Layton. A graduate of the University of Utah, Trish spent years managing and operating businesses for others before deciding to take the leap and start her own company.
She founded Social Buzzerfly in 2016 and recently celebrated 10 years of helping local small and medium-sized businesses grow their visibility and connect with their communities through social media. As a solo entrepreneur, Trish works directly with every client, and her clients appreciate her follow-through, creativity, and professionalism.
Trish has been a member of the Davis Chamber of Commerce for more than 15 years, regularly attends Business Alliance meetings, and serves on the Executive Committee for Women in Business.
She and her husband are proud parents of three kids, all currently in college.
